3 1/2 years old, beautifully built, very clean, great performing skimmer. Rated to 250 gal. It’s a recirculating skimmer and can be use internal or external to the sump. I always used it externally. The pump is an Aquabee 2000/1.
6” diameter, 26.25” tall. Base is 12.5 x 6.75”.
The only issue I’ve had with this skimmer is a very small one. When the pump is first cleaned, it likes to drip a little water until it seals itself up. This wouldn’t be a problem at all if using the skimmer in a sump. Since I used it external, I would just lay a towel under the pump. It only drips a very small amount of water – a couple of ounces – before it seals up. I’ve read of others having a similar experience. I think the o-ring that supposed to seal it needs to be just a tiny bit thicker but I never bothered trying to find one.
$275, picked up. These are $700 new. I’m in East Windsor/Hightstown, 08520.
