Halloween costumes

Hey guys what are you being on Halloween? Or your kids?
My Daughter lives in the West Village of Manhattan with her husband and they always walk in the Halloween parade there. This year I built them as a costume, the Brooklyn Bridge. The parade goes right near the Bridge.
It is 13 feet long and all lit up just like the bridge. The hard part was that it needs to fold up to fit in a subway and an elevator. I will finish it tomorrow as I am just waiting for the lights, then I will take a picture. But if you see the parade on TV, look for it. It will be hard to miss :congratulatory:

For my office, I set up some bloody heads in bags hanging from barbed wire from the ceiling. Blacked out windows with spider webs and a strobe light with a fog machine. A bloodied up set of jeans and white tee shirt with a scary clown mask to make the kids wet themselves as they test to see if i'm real or not. I havnt decided about the chainsaw yet. teehee...

Tanks, cool costume.
My favorite costume I made for her was the Empire State Building. It was 8' tall and was motorized. It had three byplanes flying around it and a monkey (King Kong) that would jump about every 30 seconds and take a swing at the plane.
She was also a large bowl of Linguini and clams, with real clams and a large fork about 4' long that had the linguini wrapped all around it, and her head.
Another one I liked was a replica of a working NYC traffic light. She was an adult and works in Manhattan so she wore it all day and kept crossing the street while turning on the red light to see if anyone stopped. Of course she almost got run over a few times.
You had to be there, but they all made it in the newspaper.
I love this stuff

Wow, that's pretty cool looking Paul. I'm assuming you made them some sort of hats or matching upper body covering?

And are the lights powered off of batteries?

Paul amazing costume. I'm going as DJ Lance from Yo Gabba Gabba, my wife a cowgirl & my almost 5month old will be a cow & his brother who's 2.5 is the UPS guy. He did a little photo shoot in his costume and timing worked out that a UPS guy showed up where the photos were being taken in Princeton, so him w/ the actual UPS guy & Truck.

Harthag, it is always great when the kids are small. They really remember the stuff.
Tanksnstuff, no, they just get in the thing with black outfits on. I don't have the shoulder straps on yet
I added an accident with skid marks. I figured Halloween should be scary.
I took apart the police cars and added blinking LEDs and for the accident cars, I melted and smashed the cars.
There are two large 12 volt lantern batteries in the costume, one in each end. There are over 100 lights in it.

They took it for a spin around the Village before the parade tomorrow night.
It got a lot of attention because that place is crowded 24/7

They made it to the parade and even with 60,000 people marching they were interviewed 4 times and were on a few news stations. PIX11 mostly but also NY1. I am trying to figure out how to put the link up without having to watch the entire news.
