Exactly. I pre-ordered one that should be coming shortly, but I'm actually contemplating whether I'll want to open it or not. My nitrates are likely always higher than the range (so I'd have to do the dilution step).

too many steps for me but I hear people saying its not that bad, honestly though I don't really chase nitrate unless my salifert test is on the high end of the color card.

i hate the calcium test so much. i just use the red sea one and i only really test my calcium at the beginning of a tank and sporadically test here and there. i dont worry about calcium at all unless there is something really wrong with my tank.

To be honest I haven't tested nitrates in maybe 8 months last time I test they were 25.

Hanna checkers are great except for 2 of them the Calcium and Nitrate.

too many steps, muti-use buttons, and packets powder comes in. I usually have to do 3 tests to get 1 reading.
