Has anyone tried this??

Looks like magic to me. I'm always wary of magic when it comes to reefing, but just being a vita, I can't imagine it hurting any. Give it a whirl, Erna.

You should take weekly photos of your tank as close as you can get (like 2' wide sections) and post them. It would make an interesting viewpoint for the rest of us.

Wish I could remember to do that 2x a day!

Erna i'm placing my order as well. I'm doing next day delivery just so I can start at the same time as you. We'll monitor our progress together.

Sounds like a good plan, Mike. Remember to take pictures.

I will be starting it tomorrow, after my tank is detuliped. Doug and I tore half of the tank apart yesterday and hopefully we will finish the other half tonight. We are attacking the pink tulip anemones that are destroying my tank. I will try to take some pictures later of the side we have done and the other side that we haven't to show you what I mean.

Definitely will be taking pics. I'll set up a tripod and mark the floor so I can take the same photo everytime. (at least in theory)

What do you think? Once a week? Monday, Wed, Friday? Monday, Thursday? or everyday?

Once a week would be best, though the month to month comparison would probably be the best indicator. I'd be inclined to want to take the photos at night with the same white balance settings for consistancy. The reason for night would be to eliminate the variable lighting conditions caused by ambiant day light.

I agree with taking the pictures at the same time at night. Otherwise, as Phyl said, the variable lighting would skew the results.

I would think once or twice a week to take the pics.

I started dosing with vitamin c about two weeks ago. I haven't noticed anything different yet but I believe I read it can take several weeks.

I just ordered the sodium ascorbate crystalline from Rite aid it will be in tomorrow. I'm trying to figure out how much I should start out with. It is coming in packets of 100 for 12.00. The pharmacist told me it didn't say how much is in a packet. We'll see tomorrow.

do corals get vitamin c in the wild...? it's certainly not from the sun light. so where would they get it anyway...

Not sure but the ocean is filled with alot more than what comes in synthetic sea salt. Sea salt is good enough but there are alot more things that we don't even test for that would benifit our corals and fish. VC just might be one of them. But I'm not sure.
