Hellfire torch help

My hellfire torch split away from the base.. have any one of you seen this? It looks fine just like an anemone but should I be worry?

I forgot to move from the spot it was at. The xr30 reaches almost right on top.. I’ve been to busy with the new baby and have not been looking at the tank as usual to catch things like this.. I wish would be a way to get it to attach to something it’s such an awesome piece

Here is the thing. Most likely Polyp Bailout due to temp or Alk swing. If you have been neglecting a bit and trying to manually dose or quick water change different than your normal pattern.
IF you are someone who grows LPS quickly. One guy I knew could grow hundreds of hammer and frogspawn. growing out of his tank they were doing so well. IF he put that in the bottom of his tank, it would very well potentially grow a new skeleton and continue to grow as normal. BUT if you struggle to grow many new heads, chances are it will not grow a new head. I would suggest strapping it down to a rock with clear thread or light weight fishing line and just enjoy it as it is for now. Chance of new skeleton is slim.

I had this happen to me with a hammer and the polyps stayed alive for more than a year

Sorry for late respond but it’s looking fine.. I think it was the change from xr15 to xr30 i glued to a small piece of rock.

It Got off the rock so I put it into this hole it’s right under the light still but it gets some shade from top rock

Right now looks like it’s going to be put but you never know. If moves again I’ll try the plastic container.
