Hey NJRC! I've been a non-member for awhile, just really gandered around but I finally decided to become an official member and wanted to greet everyone! My name is Judeo and I am from Elizabeth. I haven't been in the reef community long, started about 2 years ago with a 45 and now on a 90. I have learned a lot and still learning. I'm excited to be a part of the community and hopefully I can contribute a long the way.
Now, I have a question for you guys. I am thinking about revamping my sump, it's a DIY 30 gallon standard tank with glass baffles. My issue is that I believe I made my baffles alittle too tall and my current skimmer (Eshopps PSK-200 Gen II) isnt performing that way it should. The baffle for the inlet and skimmer section is at 11" right now, I want to cut it down to around 8"-9". I do not have an extra sump to replace my current one till I make the corrections. How would you guys go about doing this? keep an air stone in the display and powerheads running? I do not think it will take more than 48 hours to complete the new sump. I am open for any suggestions, I just do not want to loose anything while doing this.
My system by the way is.
RR 90 Gallon
DIY 30 Gallon Sump with refugium
Eshopps PSK-200
RKL Controller
Beamworks 3w LED System
ViaAqua Return 1200GPH
Koralia 750 and 1050
