help identifying tank

I want to get a cover and other accessories for this tank. no idea what it is. friend found it on the road and gave it to me.

It looks like a biocube 16 to me

It is a biocube. I have a biocube 32 and the parts are easy to get online

can't figure out if it's a 16, 32. or something else. looks a lot bigger than my 15g

All dimensions are the same as the 32 except the height. Mine is 19” high and yours is 16 1/2 so I believe that is the 29 gallon

hey can you tell me the difference between hoods? i have seen some t5, halide and led. some have 1 cord, some have 3. can you clear this up for me too?

I’ve only seen the stock hood to be LED but if you go into Reef2reef you’ll see how people modified theirs

You can always go open top without a hood and just add an LED light. Would give you more options that way. The other benefit is that it would be easier to keep the temperature down. Preventing overheating was a challenge in the past when I had my Biocubes set up.

yeah i have that issue in the summer with my fluval 15. maybe i could scrape up a cheap light

I mounted a used Hydra26 on mine. Got a good deal from a club member

just remembered I have a nicrew 100w doing nothing. I'm going to be cheap and just use that lol. just need a free stand now. I'll look around on marketplace for a free nightstand or something. I just can't be bothered! LOL

tank is set up. probably going to move it to another room but got the rim off and mounted a light. probably way too bight at 100w.
