Help!!!!!!

I can't for whatever reason get my new tank to stop leaking, it is a SLOW SLOW leak somewhere and I can't pinpoint where it is!

I put a towel under the bulkheads, but when I feel them none of them feel wet. I checked the plumbing and idk. I'm so lost, if anyone local is available I would appreciate the help!:adjoint::love-struck:

Where are you finding wetness? OR, why do you think it's leaking?

I'm running plain tap water w/ vinegar through everything for the time being to clean it out well. I think it is leaking due to a wet spot in the stand directly under the plumbing area. I placed a towel there now as not to ruin the wood :/. I had thirty5 come by the one day and we thought we got it, but nope still leaking!

So is the plumbing (pipes) leaking or a seam in the tank or a bulkhead?

If it's plumbing, cut it out and redo....it's cheap enough.

I'm still confused....PVC stands for Poly VINYL Chloride. So what is vinyl plumbing....is this the clear "tygon" type of tubing with hose clamps?

When I think of PVC i think of hard plastic pipe, when I think of vinyl I think of vinyl hose such as the eheim or tubing that allows for twist, bends, and all the fun stuff.

The hose I have is tubing w/ clamps onto a barb yes.

Now I understand. Are the barbs installed with teflon tape or pipe dope? That could be leaking. Are you using two clamps per barb? Leaks could be coming from there. Just guessing not seeing the setup.

Teflon tape yes, one clamp per barb. I think I may remove the barbs and retape them.

If the leak is sooooo slow you can see it, try wrapping paper towels around areas you think leaks are coming from. Then look for wet paper towels.

I am going to say that it is still the threads. I was not crazy about the barbed fittings that you have. I had to put so much teflon on them to make them even snug. You did have a leak from the the actual bulkhead and glass joint, but that was fixed. When I left it was not leaking, but I am still going to say that it is the threads.

The barbs were from AF :/, I think the last leak is from the return barb, I plan on rethreading it today.
