After doing a w/c I realized water t d s was 12 . duh don't know why I have not checked in a bit. New filters coming on Thursday. Should I do another 35 gal w/on a 90 ..

imho no it isn't that significant. I was just trying to check out that new zero water product I've been seeing in commercials lately, just to see if there was any new tech going on. Wow they publish zero information about the filtration

Resin does need replacing. Lost track of when I replaced other filters .so I will replace everything.

Do you have a fast flush on your RO unit? I have a inline TDS meter that I activate whenever I draw top off water or tank change water. I open flush valve for 2 minutes to get rid of high TDS water, it drops to 3 after a couple minutes. TDS creep is typically in the mid 40s coming out of membrane after unit has been standing for a while. My RO filter is 2 years old (others every 6-8 months) That high TDS will smoke your DI resin faster.

Unless you have Algae issues, if you didn't plan another water change I wouldn't bother.

That's not saving the life of your DI resin. I would look into the fast flush add on, you can replace your flow restrictor with the fast flush/flow restrictor. Its cheap. Just be sure to get one matched to the RO membrane GPD. I got mine from Air, Water, Ice. They have schematics for their RO units that will give you some ideas. It will significantly extend the DI life. They have automatic FF but they are pricey.

I have a RO Buddy system.
In this small system (50gpd) I can easily monitor resin color (an determine time for change) and have the carbon tubes marked, by sharpie, with installation dates.
I change out resin as needed, the carbon and RO cartridge every 6 months (about $30), and the membrane every year ($40).

In the nano systems you see changes a lot faster.
I neglected a resin change last week as I was lazy. DTS was 3 on the RODI when I did a 25% WC.
Now I have diatomes on the sand a week later, first prob in a year and probably due to my laziness.
