Thumbs up to you Dave. Great info. I FINALLY found out what has been worrying me in my tank lately. I seem to have hydroid Myrionema labeled BAD an I am finding it is spreading almost everywhere. Now I have to irradicate them before they are in plague proportions and do damage :'( I have no idea where they came from anybody ever hear about or see these things. They look like tiny yellow star polyps or baby anemones and there are thousands in a cluster. Unbelievable

Glad others are finding the link useful as well.

Sorry to hear about the hydroid problem Taz.

I have no personal experience with hydroids, but from what I have read they do not like low nutrient environments.

I have seen people state a couple of methods with success besides low nutrients.

Manual Removal
Joe's Juice
Panacure (I imagine as a last resort after placed in a QT)

One person mentioned a Flame Angel, but IMO one person is not reliable as a source.
