Lol. I only have one. Austin at trop sold em to me. She was tiny and missing a claw when I got her. Now she only comes out when she wants a chocolate chip cookie. .
Incidentally she was riding on the snail to get up higher on the glass to get at some asterinas. And while I'm on this how is it the moment I put a choc chip star I the tank she is out in seconds. Like she can smell the star the moment it touches the water. Anyone else notice this?
lol you can't submit the pic once it's posted on the forum....(read the fine print...LOL).
Interesting you have only the one - i think in the wild they mate and are always a tag team, and its easier for the two to flip the star vs just one in the wild.
I was tempted to get one to help with my massive population of asterinas, but my wife doesn't like me feeding live things to the critters...and eventually the guy would run out of asterinas (plus what fun is just feeding him asterinas? lol)

There was an NJRC member who had a pair, and he would buy a chocolate every month or so and put it in his sump. He would then cut off an arm every so often to feed the wild beasts. Anyway, when he would buy a new starfish, as soon as he put it in the sump the Harlequins would know. So they can smell it or detect it within the water.
If anyone with Harlequins wants to come and harvest a couple hundred Asternias, come on over!
