Was feeding the tank this morning and my jaw fish was feeling a little feisty and well ate my prawn goby right in front of me!

When I don't know about a fish, I go to LiveAquaria and check out the info there. With Jawfish, first it said that they were peaceful.....and then it said to feed three times a day. Well I guess that was happening....just not by you. Sorry for your losses. Are you planning on keeping the hungry, hungry jawfish?

They have all been housed together for the last year that's what's crazy about it. I think it's just going to turn from a peaceful community tank to a semi aggressive tank. I've got three jawfish in the tank now once of which wont eat anything then the other trouble maker plus one more that gives no trouble. I've got a 1 1/2" clown and a small six line wrasse that are going to have to start watching their backs that's for sure. I was just amazed to see he gobbled the goby since they were both the same size fish but he stuffed him down as u can see!

what kind of goby is that? i've had yellow-headed gobies that have been nothing but excellent community fish.

Aurora goby. The goby was an excellent commnity fish unfortunately his ill tempered neighbor the 4" dusky jawfish ate him.
