I love those snails, when the small ones climb on thier shell to clean em is great to see! I can trade you some small trochus snails for a big one if your up for it! A bunch spawned and are growing in the sump, so they range from tiny to small, I can get you some pics.

Let me see how they do but I may contact you for a trade. I want to ensure they don’t knock over rocks. Lol.

They will knock over any frags that are loose, I've had to reglue a couple plugs because of the one i got, completely lost a zoa frag to my eel, was upset but wasnt gonna wreck the rockscape looking for it.

So I found another guy upside down this morning. I flipped him over but he hadn’t moved and other inverts are starting to go after him. Is there a way to remove the snail and keep the shell? Or do I need to chuck the whole thing?

It’s the circle of life. Crabs will eat snails.
Crabs the take snails shell.

Nassarius snails seem to like it. As long as it won’t cause an ammonia spike I’ll let nature take its course.

If you want the shell because you like it. Take it out and boil it in water. Shells are saved all the time.

75 gallons. Just concerned due to how big the snail is. I lost others and never worried about it. Maybe I’ll just wait and see how much of it is gone in the morning. Lol
