How do you get Coral's to the Swap?

Ok.. I have a genuine curiosity.. SO there are a few vendors at the swap that had tons of coral frags. Like 100+.. How do they GET the corals to the swap? Are we talking about 100 frag bags or do they get creative with rubber bands and move them in shallow rubber maids or something and just move the frag rack over their frag display tank?

The Reason I ask is because I'm about to move my entire tank to south jersey. I'm trying to find a safe and secure way of moving all my corals down in a approx 1 hour or so ride.

I saw more then a few vendors packing frags into cases that I can only assume gets sealed tight with water. In your case I think bags and Rubbermaid tote/s would be your best bet. An hour ride is not to bad in your situation. The biggest problem might just be the larger colonies that might break up a bit.

I've seen custom acrylic racks you can have made but look expensive for one time use. I think you can make a shelf rack from eggcrate.

Clean 5 gallon bucket,1" pvc for risers cut eggcrate the diameter of the bucket and you can stack them as high as you want.depending on size of the frags you can get 50+ per bucket

Coolers with egg crate cut to the bottom. Fill with water to cover the frags, lift out the whole rack and viola instant selling.

Damn..... that's some smart thinking... I never thought about the Bucket thingy... You folks are srsly resourceful! Thanks for the tips. I feel a little better now about my move!
