my friend got the 100g for less than $100 (i think it was $85 or something) for me from a place in Clinton, they sell Farm equipment. Since you will have some more time to spare... I will check with him to see if he can get me the phone # for you.
when you buy new sands, it is going to be the same as using your old sand, they are all going to be stir crazy already anyway, so keeping the old sand will be better, at least you know they are good... but, it may be a pain to keep the water "fresh" for 5 months...?? if you can some how keep them in a container and make it run within your system for 5 months then keep them, otherwise, sell them in advance and only give out on the day you are doing the move, and buy new ones later.
