how long does Ich last

I have a 10gal and had a Ich problem that claimed my 2 fish... That was 5 weeks ago. Now I have a 29gl tank running for 4 weeks that I've added 3 fish and did my first water change. I'd like to start swaping things from the 10 to the 29 and put a fish in the 10. How long do you guys think I should wait??

Thanks for the link... I need to go back and take a better look when it's quiet around here. That article is the first mention I've read about aggressive water changes as a possible solution.

Arrgh.... I was hoping 4-6.... You think I can move some snails & hermits or should I count on that parasite attaching itself to everything?
