How many times have you flooded your room?

I just recently (about a month ago) flooded my kitchen with RO/DI water.

Bad thing is, i'm on the 2nd floor of an apartment building with a wood subframe only... no concrete, and wood floor in the kitchen. It seeped down into the apartment below me and caused the whole kitchen wall to fall off (plaster and paint, no drywall)... so my landlord had to replace their wall teehee.

I put a big (handwritten) sign on the door to my bedroom and going out the front door that says:

Did you turn the RO/DI Unit off, stupid?

Works like a charm.

Ahhh good times... good times

The waste water line from my RO unit, which was on top of the tank, slipped out of the garden hose that ran out the window when I was filling my 125 for the first time. I awoke to the sickening sound of water hitting the floor at about 4am. Who knows how much water it spilled but there was a 1/4" of water covering my hardwood floor and it was raining in the basement. My wife was none to pleased when I cranked up the wet dry vac, but luckily my son slept through it.
It took 4 months for the cupped floor boards to return to normal but thankfully I didn't have to replace them.

The RO tank in the basement I've floded once or twice maybe three times or few more. I actually just stopped counting.

I don't feel so bad but still not sure it makes me any less aggravated at doing it :) I'm going to downgrade tank size for a bit, forgo the Ro/Di & just use bottled water from the supermarket. Not as ideal but for my piece of mind and ease I feel I need to do it this way for a bit. Parents have space to house all my tank gear so it will free up alot of space in my basement as well, I may convert the fish tank space to a play area for my son so it won't be for a bad cause.

What type of water would I buy from the acme? It's not distilled I want right?

Not sure where you live, we buy our RO water from Trop for fifty cents a gallon which is much cheaper than the distilled water you can buy at the supermarket.
