How to hang a led fixture without hanging from ceiling

Hey guys,

Just bought the photon 24 and need to figure out how to hang it without hanging from the ceiling. Let me know how you guys did it!!

You could use any number of shelf brackets attached to the wall, and hang the fixture off of those.

I'm assuming you don't have a canopy.

my problem is the tank it backed up to a corner, so i have an angled wall on both sides, and the angle is not even. So I need something I can attach to the stand. No canopy

A picture would help us understand your constraints. I think I am in the same situation as you

this is how i hung my radion. i had the ecoxotic panorama pro and use the stand mount for radion when i got rid of the ecoxotic panorama.

If the tank is in the corner (I’m assuming at a 45 degree angle to the wall), than simply build a corner shelf and hang the light off that. Here is but one very simple example. (I apologize for the crappy drawing.) The perspective is from looking from below the shelf.

This is all made with ¾ by approximately 2 to 3 inch boards readily available at HD. Only two types of simple cuts….90 and 45 degrees. Separate each board on the shelf by ¾ or an inch.

There's also a myriad of wall mounted plant hanging brackets in different sizes and styles to choose from. Just mount one on each wall, and hang the fixture between them. If you can't catch a stud, use some mollies to mount them.

Thanks guys!! you got the wheels turning. Has anyone used 80/20 for a hanger? Saw it on other sites and it looks like it would be a good option.

80/20 is certainly another option. I've seen both stands and canopies made of 80/20. I see no reason why it can't be used to make hanging brackets.

I used 80/20. Bought the parts off Amazon. Here's a pic of the set up I came up with. You could just as easily mount to the stand rather than the wall like I did.

I almost didn't buy the radion because of the lack of mounting option. Then I saw someone on another forum use a monitor stand so I stole that idea

Secured it to the back with some wood
