I was stupid and didn't quarantine my new bellus. Now my display tank has ich. I knew better and was an idiot.

Always quarantine. Otherwise you are playing russian roulette.

Now I need to setup a quarantine, try to catch the fish or hope they can battle through it with the help of good feedings, cleaner shrimp and selcon/garlic additions to their food.

What a pain....

Yeah.... I play russian roulette. Chances are pretty good your display had ich before this and the bellus stressed. Garlic, garlic, garlic. You may find that lower lighting period, a slight drop in the saility and temperature give your fish the boost they need to fight it off.

I had the same thing happen with a flameback angel. We just overfed and used a lot of garlic and selcon and eventually it went away. Very much a pain, good luck.
