I cut a new fish tank in half-Frag Tank build

Frag tank update...almost ready for water...maybe tomorrow! Need a few more fittings and should be good to go.

Looking good, are you going to run it lights out for a while? I think I made a mistake tuning the light on right away. None of those surfaces have any bacteria and developed algae right away. I think next time I do an add on tank I’ll dose bacteria and go lights out for a couple weeks. Seems like prime surface area for bad stuff to grow on.

Haven’t thought much about that...my plan is to only run these t5 for 4 hours a day right now...going to take some bio plates out of my sump and put them in this tank. See if that helps.

And we’re running! Only had one leak from a fitting I forgot To glue! Moved a bunch of live rock from my sump into the fragtank. Going to start moving some frags in there in a few days.

Now I can finally clean my display tank up!!! Moving things into frag tank!
