Extremly sorry for the bad news but them be aptaisia- try returning the live rock or you can cook the rock so you dont let them get on your other rocks.

Hmm, it's a new tank so all contained, nothing else in there since I've had it up for 2 days, I have Joe's Juice, try that or something more extreme since it's on all 4 pieces of rock? Don't really want to kill the rock completely if I can avoid it but of course would like to prevent further outbreaks.

Note: May want to avoid live rock from allquatics currently.

Maybey find a friend or fellow reefer that has a copperbanded butterfly fish or is breeding bergaih nudibranches and let him have your rocks for a few days so they eradicate them for you.

If it were me...I would do what I already did...in a very similar situation.

Buy Aiptasia X - Joe's Juice may be just as good but I heard it can impact parameters.

Kill as many as possible in one big go. (can probably get 80-90% of them)

Then expect to keep killing them here and there..it took me 4 months to get them all.

Also consider buying peppermint shrimp. They did not work for me, but I know others who had them work great.

Just my 2 cents.

yeah...thats no zoa. buy joes juice or something of the sort and after that i would advise you to invest on a few peppermint shrimp

Smart move would be for me to return it, my move is to keep it. I've never fought Aiptasia, it's only 4.5 lbs of rock in roughly 7 gallons of water, I'm going to use it as a learning exp. just incase I get it in larger tanks. I just hit everything I could see w/ 7/8's of a bottle of Joes Juice, it looks like it snowed in there, after a bit I'm going to flip the rocks & nuke some more since I know some are on the bottom & back. Once the tanks cycled the first inhabitants will be 1-2 peppermint shrimp. I was / am planning some sexy shrimp & a Pederson shrimp so the more shrimp the merrier.

Also I know Ed on here has / had some nudibranches, when he's back from MACNA I may try to borrow one. Worse case I lose 4.5lbs of rock & some time.

PS: sounds dumb but I don't want to return it as I know it's my dumbass fault for picking out rocked that I knew had something on it, I took a gamble. My gut said avoid it & I didn't listen.

just put the joe's juice or kalkwasser paste right on the mouth of the anemone when it's open. it will close around it and shrivel up. then coverit with another glob. it will do the job. don't add any livestock to the tank for a while thouhg, since i think it will effect the parameters in such a small tank.
