I'm going to Lambeau!!!!!!!!

So as I made it very clear in the other thread....I gave away my tickets to the Giants/Falcons playoff game.

But I just booked airfare, hotel, rental car and game ticket for the Giants/Packers Divisional Playoff game at Lambeau!!!!

I'm so excited!!!!!

Wow! A trip to the hallowed ground, known as Lambeau Field!

Congratulations!

A quick little story: I lived in Wisconsin for a couple years back in the mid 90’s. One year, when Greenbay went to the playoffs (I think 1995), the field wasn’t looking too good. So in late December or early January, they decide to re-sod the field. I don’t know where the sod came from….obviously not Greenbay in January….but they redid the field. Now instead of tossing out the old soil, they made a pile in the parking lot and sold boxes (about 7”x 10” x 2”), of the hallowed soil for $10 a box. People were in a long line in their cars buying this stuff…and not just one box….some were buying 50 boxes or more! It was wild. This enormous pile of soil didn’t last long.

One more short story: If you’ve never been there before, Lambeau is actually located in a development of small little houses. You’re driving through this non-descript little development, and all of a sudden you emerge from the last row of houses to see this large stadium surrounded by a parking lot. It is so dramatic; you are expecting a choir of angels to sing, and the sun to shine on the stadium, as you suddenly view the holy land of Lambeau.

Steve, enjoy….you’ll have a blast, and find the fans at Lambeau are fanatics about their team, but gentlemen to the opposing fans. (“Toto, we're not in Philadelphia anymore.”) Dress warm...Greenbay is frigid!

That's funny, I was just talking to a co-worker about that. I definitely like Green bay, I love watching the Packers play (so I guess I'm sortof a bit of a Packers fan). It's just that I'm die hard Giants TRUE BLUE BABY, and we need this win. Greenbay can win all the games they want, just not against my Giants.

Too awesome!! Congrats, I hope you're our good luck charm!

GO GIANTS!!!!!

I hope I am too!!

Not going to lie-I'm pretty jealous right now! Have fun, and GO GIANTS!!!

You should come!! It's only costing about $600 a guy for everything.

That is awesome!!! I want to hear you through the TV.

Mike....I will do my best.

Thanks Paul....Those are GREAT stories!! And now I know I won't get shanked if I wear blue.

Don't you have bryposis to kill and
aptasia to nuke?

I absolutely do....but this is Giants Football. Nothing trumps Giants Football!! I even told my girlfriend we are not allowed to get married during football season...and our children in the future will be conceived so as not to be born during football season.

wwwwooooooooooooow. Will be watching for you on TV! hahaha. Bring something that says "FOX" on it....my GF is a FOX or something. :D

always awesome seeing your team in another stadium. The giants definatly have a tough schedule but they did play them better than any other team this year.

Go giants.

Well, the Chiefs did beat them.....

The Giants was a good game though. I just knew when I saw how much time they left Rodgers that they were going to lose.

29! That’s a heat wave in Greenbay.

I guarantee there will be cheeseheads there without their shirts on!
