Depends on how low the light is. Ideal would be a 1.2 or 1.4 in anything from 24-50 (but those get pricey). If you can bump the ISO it will help a lot as well.

Of course using 1.4 you have a VERY thin DOF plane and getting focus spot on is going to be critical and difficult. If your camera front or back focuses you're going to have a near impossible time with sharp focus, but even at 2.8 they will focus easier in low light situations than a similar lens that only goes to 2.8.
