I passed by there last week, and Warren has more LPS/SPS frags in his two new 180s than he's ever had. (He's probably not carrying the 25 cent @ feeder shrimp any more, because the new tanks take up the space they once occupied - so it goes. I'll miss those feeders, as will my Marine Betta.)

Were they ghost/glass shrimp? If so, they’re quite easy to collect. My kids and I used to do this as the only source of food for our old estuary tank. We used to collect them by running a 3ft seine net up against the marsh grass. We’d locate small pools that were isolated by the low tide. It’s like shooting shrimp in a barrel. You’ll catch all kinds of stuff, keep what you need, return the rest.

You can keep the shrimp in a fresh water tank to kill any parasites (well it killed the ones you could see anyway). We’d collect a bunch before it started getting cold, cause collecting in the winter wasn’t super productive, but it was super cold.

@radiata I went by sea level yesterday to pick up an xr15 and those new tanks look real nice. So much more nice piece to oogle and tempt the wallet... but the light was enough for that day haha

I have been using reef crystals for years and I haven’t seen any salt related problems.
I believe the only difference between IO and RC is the alk and cal is higher in RC

just got an email from ACC. John said may be about a month since we are just opening stage 3 for NJ. fingers crossed its here in July! my wife's bday is July 4th, so what better gift hahahaha!! the good news is, if the tank was already setup, I wouldve ended up spending a stupid amount of money during the pandemic, so I guess I actually saved money for once! hahahahaha!!!!! = )
