Irritating!!

Does anyone share my feelings of irritation when you add a fish to your tank and then can't find it??

I added an orange spotted goby to my 180 on Monday....I was watching it for a while to see if it would find a home or pair with my pistol....I turned away for 5 seconds and now I haven't seen it since.

So frustrating!!

We put a yasha goby in our 20g on saturday, saw him for a day or two and then nothing. Then we saw him, well part of him, getting eaten by our hermits. That was fun. Good news is the pistol shrimp it came with is doing well.

How long has the tank that you have the shrimp in been setup. Hoping it's the new one. Mine is about 5 years old and the pistol shrimp and my goby have been tunneling around every inch of it releasing all the nastys from the substrate. Serious cyno outbreak! Just a FYI. Hoping this won't be the case.

;D ;D ;D I finally saw my Orange Spotted Goby!! He paired up with my pistol and they were behind a rock with the shrimp digging and moving!! I've been looking there thinking that may have been where they were, but didn't see anything until tonight!! Glad he's doing well!!

We don't have the new tank setup yet, the pistol is in the 20g tank. We changed the tank out about a month or so ago because it was so scratched up after years of moving and abuse. When we did that, we cleaned our sand so we have not seen an issue with cyano.
