Is there any aquarium safe metal out there?

Just like the title says does anyone know of any affordable aquarium safe metal? I heard somewhere 304 stainless would be but I am not too certain about that.

I think 316 is the grade. I could be wrong.

Titanium is the first choice in corrosion resistance but a good quality 316 would be a cheaper alternative. 316L has a lower sulfur content and is easier to machine. What are you planning on doing or making?

That was my Q also. Knowing the purpose might lead to better sugestions.

I was assuming he was talking about screws or clamps, since they tend to come in 304 & 316 SS. Maybe it's something else.
