Chris, I think Ralph's caps are a different species than Rich's. Also, water parameters and light play a HUGE role in coral coloration. A tank that is lightly richer in organics tend to be a little on the darker side with deeper colors and vice versa.

No problem Chris, made the adjustment. I have both the idaho grape cap and this other one, which may be as well, couldn't really tell the difference myself. But I do agree that the pic that camz posted was.....................purplier (try saying that 3 times fast)cmsurfr22 said:

how hard is it to keep trumpet coral? Is there a light requirement, or any other requirements? I would love a couple of heads of it. Also, if I pay for it, can someone pick it up for me as I know I won't be at the meeting, work on Sundays.

Hello Edwin,
The trumpet or candy cane corals are considered easy or beginner LPS. I have some greens at the very bottom of my 30" deep tank and they are doing quiet well. The reds pictured are on the bottom also. Although I do have MH and T5 lighting.
The 10 head green has been spoken for. I have the 10 head red @ $20 and the 30 head green @ $25 remaining. I would rather not split up those colonies and sell or trade them as is. Everything I have remaining is listed here: http://www.njreefers.org/forums/index.php/topic,1846.msg16523.html#msg16523Â Â I edit this post as the requests change.
I don't have a problem if you have someone pick them up for you at the meeting. I would prefer cash or trade at the meeting in case there is a problem but if that's not possible paypal would be ok (don't forget the paypal fees = total +$0.30 x 1.03)
