My jawbreaker has stretched its foot in 2 places and those have fully detached. So there are 2 little babies sitting there (they don't look like JBs yet). Curious how long it takes to those actually start looking like JB's?

they'll be gold/yellow ish for a bit. colors will come, if they even do over time. reds usually come in first

Best pic I have on my phone. That's not a purple spot. I thought it was, but it was a very tiny piece of coraline algae that fell in it.

They will stay gold for a while, usually until like quarter size though some can develop earlier.

It depends on what kind of JB it is, I have Poletti JB not the best pic but you can see the baby on the right side of the pic.

Here are 2 babies a bit bigger and you can clearly see the greenish and also the red splatters.
