Hello
It’s always best to buy a tank that is already drilled.(reef ready)
Drilling a tank always has the possibility for you to lose everything.

If you haven’t purchased a tank yet. I would buy the biggest drilled tank I could afford/fit the space.

If you already own the tank I would leave it the way it is. The jbj is build as a all in one.

The jbj 45g is already drilled correct? Is it the flat panel, AIO unit that you purchased?

Ok, I mean I like the look of tank, and personally I'm more of AIO tank fan....to me it's less complicated.

But like @amado mentioned, larger tanks are more stable. From experience, I went through alot of up n downs with my 34g aio

Yea I'm familiar with it, I was thinking about getting one some time ago.

tender loving care....a little extra attention and love. You're prepared for that, I know how excited you are for this new setup.

There are lots of reviews online if you google jbj 45 so depending how good a deal it is I suggest reading up on it.
