One negative point is the amount of space it occupies in the tank, mp's take up less real estate. The motor is also located in the tank so heat will be an issue for some if a chiller and A/C is not avail. It looks good, don't get me wrong and no I am not trying to justify my 3 mp10s.

I have to agree with you there, the design of the vortechs are top notch and I do love the fact the all the electrical components are outside of the tank. However, for the price of the supposed WP-10 ($50) I can take away some real estate to fit them in my tank ;P haha

p.s. the money saved can go into getting a chiller!

The heat concern was brought up in the rc thread and so far there's no issues.
