Jebo WP40

I know a couple of people on here were talking about how they had them on order, just curious if anyone had received them yet. If so, how are they working? I was thinking about getting them for my 55g since I'm in the market for new powerheads.

I got mine on friday. it's replacing an MP10 & a koralia 1400. I still have the 2nd MP10. I'm seeing sand cyclones randomly :). The MP10 is on the back of the tank on reef crest 90% and the WP40 I have on full blast on "else" mode. its pointed up & towards the front glass. I had it on W1(wavemaker 1) and it was making ~2" waves on my 90 with just that pump running. so far I like it a lot, still waiting to see if I'm gonig to keep the MP10 or sell it. The flow pattern isn't as wide as a vortech (which I expected) but with how strong it is, it is picking up detrius from behind rockwork that I didn't even know was there.

If anybody wants to swing by and check it out pm me.

Glad to hear you're happy with it, I think I'm going to order one for my 55 & just get the 12v to tune it down a bit. With my luck it would cause tidal waves and I'd have a gallon of water on the floor. Does it seem to be well made?

it seems rock solid honestly. my only gripe is on W1 at full blast you can hear it from ~10ft away. people in the RC thread have complained about that as well, and some have said after a week or so it subsides so we'll see

Hey we should get a group buy going. If we get 8 people we can get it cheaper $78.50. I know another forum did it and got it down to like $40. But I didn't trust them cause they where going in with another forum in atlanta and then that one person was supposed to ship it out to the other forum and then then the other forum was going to ship the individual ones out. Way to many hands in the pot. I would be more comfortable doing it among our selfs. Then we can just meet up. Plus now I c u can pick US plug and get an extra light sensor for just $1.

For good measure here is a guy that has a really good review of it in action. His review is only 3 days old This kinda cemented the deal for me

sounds like a great idea, only issue is what's the shipping look like. last I heard ARC (club doing group buy) was getting a quote for shipping to them. but no idea how much and it was a per unit shipping price, not a flat fee.

edit:
unless you're placing the controller in direct view of the splash over from your lights, the sensor is pretty much useless. I just use my controller to turn it off at night

Will if you're interested in a gb send me a pm and work out the details, same for anyone else interested. If we get enough people I will email the BOD just so we don't ruffle any feathers. I don't see us getting 40-100 people ($60 I believe) but I'd also rather pay the extra 10 20 bucks and have someone from this forum be holding the units/money etc.

Yea last I heard the shipping was still like $26 a unit. $104.50 instead of $111 a piece sounds better to me :)
We should c how many people we can get ans then c where most of thw people aee located then pick one person in that area place order. And we should do strictly paypal so everyone is covered. I mean worse case its really only a savings of $6.50 so if it falls through we can just order individualy

Yeah I'm good with using PayPal, maybe I should email the BOD so we can post a thread asking people if they want in? I'm not sure how to go about this

Ok awesome, I emailed the BOD just to make sure so we don't piss anyone off, if you guys wanna post/message how many each of you want I can get a list going to see how many units we have total

Hey if you guys do a group buy sooner than later let me know.....I was gonna order one of these things in the next week or so!!

WP40 on my 72X36X28

I received my pump last week and have been playing around with it for a few days now. At first I wasnt getting much of a wave in my tank but finally found a good location for it and setting. I am pretty impressed with the initial quality of the pump and its just about the same size as my 6105's.

Settings and location of pump:
6" below the water line
Knob turned all the way to the left
power set at 24v
Pump on the right end panel of my tank

I get some decent movement on the left side but not much on the right side. However, when I turn my return pump back on I get great circulation thru out the tank. In the end, its worth the $100 or so but I am not ready to toss aside my 6105's until these have been running for a while.
