Joe's Juice or Aiptasia X what works better?

I was just getting ready to order some Joe's Juice but just saw a recent post that does not work as good as they claim. I did a search and there is mixed reviews everywhere on both of them. Can you please share your experiences with any of them here.

Also if there is another way to get rid of them please share it. I don't have a big problem with them, I actually only have 2 of them side by side and I've been keeping control of them by injecting boiling hot water every time I see them. "Usually once per month"

Thanks.

If you search through the threads, Aiptasia-X seems to be the winner of the retail products. I've used both and find that with Joe's Juice, I had the aiptasia just keeps coming back. With Aiptasia-X, usually kills them with 1 shot. I think it's for a couple of reasons. Aiptasia-X is a little "gooier" and appears to adhere better to the pest. It also has a better applicator.

Your hot water method should work just as well. Other good DIY solutions include kalkwasser, lemon juice, vinegar. Basically anything with extreme pH or extreme temp that can readily dissipate in the tank.

Bilogical controls include peppermint shrimp and certain butterflies, most notably the copperband.

I gave up on peppermint shrimp, I don't know why they always disappear from my tank. I keep cleaner shrimps and sexy shrimps with no problem.

I've used both and prefer the Aiptasia-X usually works first shot.

I put in 2 peppermint shrimp a few weeks ago in my 29G and they have deffinetly gotten rid of some and seem to be slowly getting rid of the rest. I have heard they are hit or miss, but seem to be working for me.

I have only used the aiptasia x as far a chemical treatment. IT workes very well for me it seems to work better if you let the aiptasia close on the syringe before injecting it. I used it in conjuction with some peppermint shrimp and a filefish.

I found some aiptasia in my tank - I guess there's a "first" for everything ::) - and tried Joe's Juice first. It came back rather quickly, even multiplied. Then I tried Aiptasia X. Watched one of the aiptasia explode. 2 weeks later baby aiptasia all over the place. Threw in 5 decent sized peppermints about a month ago, and now they're almost all gone. ;D
