Hey all, so I’m starting this thread as a progress post of my 200 gallon tank build. It’s gonna be a work in progress show and steady. To start off the build it’s currently making the stand to support this beast..
The stand isn’t done yet and isn’t fully supported.

Congrats and good luck with the build. I do agree that the top braces need to be on edge just like the ones on the bottom are.

Well i was planning to add studs vertical under the top ones and adding 3/4 finish plywood on the top to strengthen everything

How will you get the sump in there? Removable side panel? And since it looks like you’ll have a lot of room in there, may I suggest making a sealed closet for all your electrical. That’s something I’ve been planning on adding if I’m able to go to a 6’ tank.

That’s exactly my idea closed off side panel all for electrical and a side panel removal but really don’t need to remove the sump

Things happen. Exhibit a- Sump Leaking....HELP. It’s been at the top of the subsection and I notice it every time I scroll past so it stays on my mind. Better to have an access you never need then need it and have to start sawing.

Btw I’m right down the road should you need any help.
