Journey to my 120 begins

Hopefully I didn't over shoot it with the 39. I measured and it'll fit but I may get limited on real estate under the stand.

Just added this 2 gallon Eshopps to collect my Trident waste water. Got an awesome deal on this. (Free)
It’s almost time to start my rockwork but I am so worried. I want this to be perfect and not sure how I want to do this. I’m thinking of building 2 separate islands and then use white spray foam to hold rock into place. My only concern is the rock is live rock and I’m not sure how long it can stay out of water or if fresh RODI will hurt it. I will be hooking up my RODI to the tank and fill like that. Then I can add salt.

Lol fair enough, I only ask because I'm transferring my current live rock to my 120 and I didn't plan on going taller.

I may transfer some of my rock over also from my small tank. Some of the rock has corals on so not sure how to integrate those. I also have a small bubble algae outbreak in my smaller tank and I do not want that in the new tank.

Yes it has been in a Brute with saltwater for over a year and my buddy also has live rock curing in a large tank for even longer that. He was nice enough to give me some really nice pieces. He let me pick out of it and I got this really nice piece of shelf rock. I may start aquascaping tomorrow when I have the time

Well I think today is the day fingers crossed. Making as much saltwater as I can to fill tank so rocks are covered. So far I have about 75 gallons made.

I’m at work until 10. Remainder of tank filled this morning. No leaks at least from what i saw before leaving for work. I’ll know more when I get home. As far as filter it is loud as hell. Needs adjusting but I know after I mess with it I should be able to silence it. Using the herbie style. Sounded like a waterfall before I left.

So water is in tank is running and skimmer is foaming! Hopefully that stops soon
Going to slowly start transferring Neptune stuff from 40 to this tank. Just trying to get all other misc stuff in order before I start. Then I have to tear down my AIO tank and put fish in here.

Looking good! Just curious are you adding an ammonia source and testing parameters to see if the live rock is doing its job? Great job so far though, it gives me some motivation.
