Journey to my 120 begins

I'm surprised it's taking so long to process the ammonium considering you added bottled bacteria and seeded with the sponge. When i used turbostart 900 I added 2 lightning maroons same day and never showed ammonia on red sea test kit and one of the clowns is still with me today (the other jumped because the female is a bully). I had nitrites and nitrates on day 2 and the nitrites zeroed out by 2 weeks in. Never once seen ammonia and my ammonia badge never showed a reading in the tank. Maybe try dosing a different bacteria if it's taking too long. Although patience is key lol.

Ill give it another week since I’m back to work tomorrow and see what happens. I can see pods all over the glass and in the sump as well as the micro brittle stars I put in. I’m sure I can throw my clowns in there and they would be fine, but I would rather wait. I’m in no rush. I get my fix from my other tank although it has no more space for corals. Lol

So I think I might be cycled. I just checked ammonia level and it is at 0 ppm, dosed last night to 1ppm and tonight 0 ppm. Added 7 ml of ammo is chloride and will recheck one more time to be safe if good then I add my 2 clowns and they will be living in luxury for a little while with the tank all to themselves.

Well Apex is officially transferred onto new tank and all programmed. Wiring is the best I can get it but when doors closed who can tell. Thank you JD120988 for the dragons breath. Now it’s almost time to transfer fish. AWC also all hooked up and ready to go

Thanks. Lol that’s a spare I have 3 heaters in sump this one was too big and only fit on an angle. I didn’t like the look so I took out. I have 2 Cobalt brothers 100 watt and a 150 Eheim heater now. Seems to be keeping temp steady at 78

Grrr little po’d. I noticed my optical sensors on my ATK keep reverting back to water on floor. I believe this means they are bad. How can that be they worked fine on my other tank.

Well I figured it out it was my mistake. Since using a remote Fmm due to Rodi reservoir being in another room I was messing with wrong Fmm and that’s why it couldn’t recognize optical sensors. Fixed that and coded remote pmup now all good.

My pair, of course mostly the female, would attack and bite every time I put my hand in the tank, as soon as I put my hand in the tank. I posted this already, but, when I was trying to net them to get rid of them I couldn't get the female (the male wasn't as net leery). She was so used to biting me that I put my hand in the tank and just picked her up, calm as could be. Getting rid of them was the best thing I've done for my tank and it's inhabitants' peace and happiness. She/they were inhibiting the tanks' harmony. This is a tank with both a yellow tail and fiji blue devil damsel. My three tangs get along fine. The only way I'll ever have clowns again will be if I set up a 40b clown & nem tank.

Here’s a little update on the tank and it’s inhabitants. Tank is now complete and I have begun to add some coral. Here’s a few ACAN colonies as well as some other corals I recently added. Need to change out top cover. Currently using acrylic sheet but it drops par by about 50. Rocks are also starting to show ugly algae
