So I'm upgrading my skimmer to a Reef Octopus XP-8000 external. A bit of overkill, but it's a skimmer that I shouldn't grow out of.

Love my Reef Octopus XP5000, though I have the smaller one. Get the head cleaner and the skimmate locker as well, they really help out.

Yeah, I have those on my current (an Avast Marine CS1 with recirc-mod), and love them! I remember seeing your skimmer and thinking it was MASSIVE... How big is this 8000 going to be?!
