Kalk/calcium reactor

Anyone has Kalk and calcium reactor setup?
I currently have both and I am having issues dialing them in.
Should I be using only just one?

We're using both as well. I'm sure a lot of people do. The Ka helps bring the PH back up after the Ca drops it! Unfortunately I'm not sure what advice you need nor how I could help. Was either one running by itself first? Or are you trying to configure both at once?

I am trying to set up both at the same time and havent managed to make it work to the point that my ph this morning was 7.5

Try just the Ka reactor first. Get that running and then add in the Ca reactor to close any gap (but make sure there IS a gap first).

How much kalk do you have in the reactor, how often do you add to it and how often is the kalk stired.

When measured the PH out of the effluent of the reactor I am only getting 9.1. Not sure if it right but it sounds low to me

We fill it about 1/3. We stir every 6 hours. I've never measured the eff out of our reactor so I don't know if that is low or right on!

I run both. You need to experiment to see how much kalk you can add w/o clogging it. I find I can add a lot more LFS kalkwasser powder than pickling lime because the latter is a lot more coarse.

My reactor stirs like 10X per day. I have it set so it stirs on the half hour, and water top up comes on on the hour. That way I don't get cloudy top-up water in the tank.

The more often you stir, the closer to the maximum your kalkwasser effluent will be.

Are you using a solenoid valve to control the effluent?

We push water from a holding tank so it is pumped into the reactor and flows out. We have a solonoid to prevent siphon/back siphon in the wrong situation.

I was thinking of getting one. Which one are you using?
