Kalk in topoff

Wanted to know who is using kalk in topoff and how your doing it. I use to pour a gallon of rodi with 2tsp of kalk everyday that was my evap everyday 1 gallon. But now my topoff is a 20gallon tank how can I still do this I figure once a week I fill up a 5 gallon bucket and pour it into my 20gallon tank my guess is 2tsp per gallon and pour it in. Not sure what that would do because of the kalk would eventually end up on the bottom and then when I pour new in it would stir all the concentrated kalk up at the bottom. Sorry for the run on thanks in advance

I have a 20 gallon with a Tunze ATO. I do exactly like you mentioned. When it starts running low I add 5 gallons with a 2tsp per gallon mix. I just let it settle for a couple of hours before turning the ATO back on... no problems so far. I've read the water can only hold only so much lime and the rest settles.

That's how I do it too, user I powerhead to stir in well for a few minutes, then let it settle for an hour or so before using

I've been running the ATO and kalk for a month now and love the convenience. Two months of manual top off was a pain. My dkh is running mid 8s, Cal 430ish, but never got the ph bump I was expecting, still running 7.8 and steady.

Now a week from now I will be filling my tank back up I can just do the same thing right? I don't have to clean the topoff tank out or anything right? The reason I ask is because I know there is some kind of separation in kalk water
