Kalk reactor question

I have the PM kalk reactor from the group buy. I am getting a mass of white precipitate buildup where the water flows out of the return tube and into the sump.

I takes several days for it to build up and I do have the tube suspended underwater which i think is the correct way to have it. Is this normal or is something wrong?? Thanks.

Ours does the same thing. I think it's normal but that's really just an assumption on my part!
