been reading a lot on kalkwasser drip method. need to up my calcium now(390)using io reef crystals anyone use kalkwasser that could help me out . Seems like you mix it up drip it in. test.Is there a way after hitting target #### to maintain daily?

You do not use kalk to raise anything, it is used to maintain the level. If it is used to raise alk or calcium it will dangerously raise ph. Use a calcium supplement to raise it where you want it first.

so i need to up the cal parameters now @390 slow and steady .What should i use like kents 2 part?

I would use CaCl from BRS. You can also get Soda Ash from them, or make it yourself with simple A&H Baking Soda(baking it). I would however consider using the Kalk as well. First make sure your SG is right, since this is when you're adding your Ca, Alk and Mg in the first place. I would recommend keeping it at 1.026 measured with a calibrated device, i.e. refractometer or meter. Start by adding 1 tsp. of kalk per gal. of RODI in your top off, for a week or two, and if needed increase to 2 tsp. after checking your Alk and Ca. Kalk will do nothing for your Mg, so make sure its near 1200ppm. If the kalk isn't keeping up with your demand between WC's then use this calculator, fill in the blanks to determine your dose amount. Use Randy's recipe 1 if your using soda ash.

Here's the directions for the two part:
