BruceK is a distributor for them . Maybe he'll see this thread and steer you in the right direction.

Muriatic acid is very easy to find. Home Depot, Lowes, and any pool supply company stock it.

The Lye or Sodium Hydroxide has been harder to find. I stock it in a food grade quality. I can also regenerate the Kati Ani for you, but it is not hard to do once you know how.

it all depends on your water hardness (GH).

[rephrase]
it also depends on your water hardness (GH).

if i am remembered correctly, it is rate like this: (Bruce K can confirm)
Model 1 - 1200 gals
Model 2 - 2400 gals
Model 5 - 6000 gals
Model 10 - 12000 gals

the gals are rated as GH=1, if you have high GH (in coming water source), then you would need to recharge more frequently, i was having an impression that the model 5 would give me 6000 gals per charge, but since i have HIGH GH=34+, i end up with charging it every 2 weeks or so. but since about 6 months back, our municipal water (in GreenBrook, NJK 08812) GH back down a lots (GH=15+), (i would say normal GH=~6) i now need to recharge it every 3 months or so. I used about 120+ gals per month. (water change + auto topoff)
