Kati Ani vs RO/DI

I do not have a website, but I can email out a flyer. If interested, PM me you email address.

David's regeneration time of three hours seems high even if you are doing one completely and then the other. I do both in less than 1.5 hours. And you do not have to be there most of this time.

for regeneration if rush can do it under 2 hours.

i normally let it sit a bit longer/slower drip, and then leave it there for a hour or so, then come back to do the flushing for about 20 mins...

What do you do with the waste water from the regeneration?

for my Cati-Ani Unit 5 (Rated for 6000g on GH=1), each regeneration will have about 30 gals of "waste" water.

the waste water output from both Cati & Ani's output need to be mixed together, so they would be neutralized.

according to Bruce - "...the manufacture said, that so called waste water is neutralized (pH), and can be drink from it..." ::) BUT, neither Bruce or me are dare enough to do so! ;D

what if the process with an error margin % of muriatic acid or Sodium Hydroxide from measuring...? :p therefore, i just let those good "waste" water down the drain.

may be next time i will try to use it to flower some bad plants (that i do not want) and to see how it goes... today's recharge i will try to measure the pH before drain them all out.

you are welcome to stopping to have a look - starting @1pm (just PM me with your phone#, and i will try to check then call you around 12pm)
thx

note:

i use guesstimate to do my recharge...

the user guide shows how many liter % of each chemecal vs water, and how long it should run...etc.

but in some place, for example, it said something like: "...rinse for 25 - 35 mins until pH is normal..." (and did not mention flow rate, nor what is the pH be.)

so, IF i tried to match the steps 100% (which is quite difficult also time consuming...) may be the good "waste" water would be true "neutral". (what ever it mean).
