Looks like a great QT to me. I have one suggestion: a cover.

I bought some netting and I made a frame for the DT tank & going to start one for the QT.

my first fish thanks to captivating coral! i will be picking up a candy pistol shrimp any day now :)
the little things!

Nice! I'm still deciding about shrimp/goby pairs. I'm really leaning towards a pair of Yashas and a little candy stripe pistol......I think.

Glad to hear you built a cover.
I love my yasha and candy stripe pair.
I also love my yellow watchman in my 45g though!

covers are good, i also suggest covering the back and even the sides. new fish are stressed and this will help. wish it wasnt already set up i would say tape it off and spray paint it.

anyways i really like your display tank. i may make this my next tank, is the cad glass low iron? i suppose it can always be an option. my next live stock purchase for my tank is most likely going to be a yasha/randall pistol pair,

I built it after your suggestion! I actually like the look with the top better. Seems to complete the slimness of the tank.

Looks good! When you're ready for some zoos and palys give me a holler. It looks like your skimmers back up again too. Working well now?

Thanks!! As far as working well, meh. It's working..I'm still having the start up issue with it. I actually posted a thread on here suggesting a new skimmer. When this one works, it works great... but I didn't pay $300 for it to work 50/50

Well, most of my photo's have been transferred to another album so my images aren't appearing. I just purchased a DSLR & received it today. I have no photography skills what-so-ever. This is my first attempt at photos.

I bought a Canon Rebel T3i with the 18-55 IS II kit lens. I was shooting in "Macro/Auto" setting. I need to definitely invest in a tripod & eventually a macro lens

I have the d3100 as well, hit me up and I will see if I can help you out. I have to change the setting for all three of my tanks (power compacts, T5s and LEDs)

Also Kevin, great pictures.

I have the melvinsreef top down box after you move and get the tank settled in you could swing by and borrow it to take some in tank pics...,
