King Brothers

In the process of looking at plumbing supplies I have found King Brothers on Amazon at insanely low prices compared to other sites. Just thought I'd share.

Also a question on valves, threaded vs slip, whats the consensus on which way to go?

Slip all the way. Always turning valves on and off and all thAt torque eventually loosens the threads

I go for slip as well. You also might wish to consider true union valves so that you could open them up to clean or to move something around.

+1 for slip fittings and unions. The unions may be a bit more costly up front but in the long run you will be happy they are there.

I'm seeing tons of true union ball valves, but no true union gate valves, so I guess I buy the unions separate and build the true union gate valve with slip on unions?

Ive been using thosr king brother gate valves and have been happy with the. If I think that I may need to remove them, I buy inexepensive unions from lowes and put them on either side.

All I see is the ball valves too. Amazon has this other site called Amazon Supply where they sell more commercially geared stuff. There's TONS of PVC fittings and whatnot on there. Might be worth a look. I had no idea the site existed until I needed a weird threaded-barb adapter and that was the only place I could find one in the right size. I had to buy 10, but it was still like $3.

Oh and you can still get free 2 day shipping with Prime, otherwise you gotta spend $50.

I prefer threaded on the valves, because we occasionally make plumbing changes. Those are great prices on gate valves but I can't find free shipping on them.
