Koralia not working?

So some of you may know a few days ago my nano cube cracked and i lost all corals but fish survived. My koralia one isnt working in my new tank, maybe it burnt out due to no water? Any suggestions? It is literally 1 month old, can I return it to DRsfostersmith? Any ideas would be great thanks. Also...anyone know if jbj will replace the nano...2 months old

I would certainly go after JBJ if it's only 2 months old. As far as the Koralia, that's the reason I've replaced all of mine. They just die for whatever reason. Sometimes you can "kick start" them by manullay spinning the impeller but a lot of times they just die.

I've only ever had one koralia "die" on me. Like John said, it just quit for no reason. I emailed Koralia, they emailed me back within 24 hours with an RA #. I sent them the old pump, they sent me a new one. Had it back all told, both directions shipping, about 10 days.

Worst that can happen is they tell you no.

That's great. I'm glad they stand behind their products. I wish I would have known about their return policy. I've thrown away at least 4 K4's and 2 K3's.

Ouch...

Yeah, I always go after the manufacturer first. Worst their gonna do is say no. The one I had that died was the "first generation", when they replaced it, they replaced it with the "Second Generation". Don't know what the difference really was, but I've had a bunch of them for a couple years now with no issues.

Yeah, that was back at the time when I was eager to try out all of the new products. I waited a long time to get those first generation pumps. I probably should have been more patient . . . . hmmm seems to be a common theme is this hobby!
