Land Crab

Wanted to share this cool little land crab I found under some concrete today. I think he's a small Christmas Island crab but not 100% sure. Really cute regardless!

I put him back where his den was. I would have kept him if I were home but don't feel like fighting with TSA over it. I hope they don't give me a hard time about the hawkfish I'm trying to fly home with..

Oh good luck getting that as a carry on item. It may not make it on the trip to NJ. California is a 6 hour direct flight plus the 50 minute drive from Newark airport to Red Bank.
