Leather Sheding

How often do Leathers Shed?

The Leather that I had won at the Nov. Meeting has already shed twice and looks like it is gonna shed again....

I'm just curious... I had never had one before..
I think this is a good sign of health but was just wondering...

They're all different. I have ones that only shed once a month and others that shed twice a week.

I have a finger leather , a toadstool, and a cabbage leather the cabbage and the finger have never shed in almost 3 years but the finger has increased its size more than 10x. the cabbage has not done much in the growth department and the toadstool has shed once in three years while going from the size of a thumb to bigger than a fist.

sometimes its from moving to much or not enought flow or sometimes its healing or growing. it all depends on what is going on in it surroundings, sometimes it does it to protect itself from a coral stinging it. mine does it when ever my frogspawn stings it

Leather has been doing excellent!
It must of just had to get used to my flow, lights, and water parameters...
