Well all my blues in my reefbreeders were cooked to death and melting. I pulled the heatsink from the board and this is what I found.

So with the new panel they sent under warranty I removed the heatsink and reapplied thermal paste. Thanks for the heads up Paul.

Joe, HERE is the link to my original LED issues....and lack of thermal compound.

It might be too late, but the best bang for the buck....and superior thermal performance....is Arctic Silver Ceramique 2.....$7 for 25 grams.

At least you where still under warranty.

That is exactly what I used, and man that stuff is hard to get out of the syringe. And oops I thought this was your thread...

I will advise this. Use the artic silver sparingly. You need a very small layer too thick is actually counter productive.

Thanks, I did a very thin layer just enough to make contact. Good news to report, hot air is not blowing out the air vents when it didn't before meaning the heatsink is actually pulling the heat.
