Does the light penetrate like the MH. Way out of my price range, but if bulbs dont need replaced and 40% more efficient than it may pay for itself.

well so far we are very happy with them they have only been up for about 2 weeks at night corals GLOW everything seems to be coloring up nicely my superman is starting to color got him around the time we got the lights will post some pics

Were using 2-250 20K MH and 4-110 VHO 2 super sun, 2 atinic. Too soon to tell...but so far so good. The color is bluer than our previous lighting...an added advantage is that you can make it bluer or whiter whatever your taste...we have it set on auto for now.

I read a whole article on these lights. Was very interesting. Wish I could remember where I saw it :(

Anyway, this is not something you could DYI unless you had a lot of time. Each of the LED's has it's own special reflector. I would guess that the reflectors are not something your going to buy and I would bet they would be extreemly hard to replicate.

Maybe in a few years they will come down in price and be a little more affordable.
