Less GFO

I was wondering if it would still work if I cut the gfo in half to get a better tumble from it. Will this affect it if I just change it out more often?

It should work fine as long as you change it as required. You say tumble, GFO shouldn't be tumbling too fast. If it churns to fast, it can grind down and cause dust particles to be expelled. At least that's what I was told. I only run about 3" in my Phosban 150 reactor and have the flow down so only really the very surface moves. I also look to make sure that the tiny particles aren't being lifted up and out. Hope this helps.

Thats pretty much the same I'm getting. I thought there should be more movement. I'm about 4-5" on a kent reactor.

The only movement should be the very top. It's should I live a very slight rippling. Any faster and it's grinding down. You can use less but there is really no need to. Also long as there is movement you going good.
